No better than last night... it seems to be getting worse. Its almost unplayable in Int Dis now... 500-1000 average with spikes upto 5000.

Yep, lag strikes again.....I can't even log-in now. I've sent another diagnostics test to ANet showing the problem is in Frankfurt.....and I'm now considering whether it'll be worth buying EotN (why buy a game if you can't play it?).

Latency Issue Update – 13 July

Early this morning, maintenance was conducted in Frankfurt, Germany in the continuing effort to resolve latency issues experienced by those playing on or through the European servers. While the problem is not internal to Guild Wars, we are working with our external partners to resolve the matter. It is still too early to tell if today's maintenance completely solved the issue, but the network teams of ArenaNet and NCsoft will continue to monitor and work with the relevant partners if further measures are needed to resolve the matter.

Any new reports would be welcome. I've not seen any in about 8 hours -- darn those Europeans for having to sleep.

Hate to disappoint you, but if this keeps up, you've seen my last report.

(Unless looking at my glorious 120 average ping makes you feel happy and warm inside, in which case I'll gladly run you another -diag.)

Lag disappeared for me on Friday after the NCsoft maintenance, but today (Saturday) I'm getting pings ranging from 32ms to 12k+. Don't think the maintenance has fully fixed it tbh, and lag spikes are kicking in regardless or whether I'm in a town, mission or farming.

UK, 20MB cable bb, all other online games fine.

The lag was fixed for me until today. Now it's back to 'unplayable'.

Well, didn't have any lag till today. I'm a Dutch player for the record. This afternoon ping values went up to 30000 regularly. I could play in international districs with pings between 150-400.

Now I can't even get to international districts or anything because I get stuck every time I map travel or go through a portal...that's to say each time I try to because it fails every time.

There are at least 15 emails in my inbox about this containing discussions between various teams in the US and Europe. We are very sorry that the Lag Monster seems to have returned, and we're all back on highest alert to get this resolved.

You may have read the Network News where some information was provided about what's been going on. We are working again with the vendor to get this sorted out.

Well I have had bad lag for 2 weeks up until Tuesday, all was fine untill 20 minutes ago and then lag spikes of 10k started while playing in DoA.

Don't know what happened but the problem has come back, international districts are a little better but the elastic band effect still makes a few appearences.

... at least I could do some trading, sorting my inventories during the last 2 weeks (except the past few days, when everything was fine again)... but with those Error 07 every 5-10 minutes I can't do anything.

I've played for more than 2 years. I've never experienced such prolonged severe lag. There have sure been periods earlier where lag was a problem, but lately it has been consistent and persistent. Last night I just gave up - it was no fun at all when a character jumps around like a rabbit on drugs.
